SVAN 979The SVAN 979 Class 1 Sound & Vibration Analyzer is our flagship device. Your first impression will be the amazing OLED display which features excellent visibility in all light conditions. The instrument’s lightweight and durable aluminium housing not only gives a sense of a firm grip but also protects the valuable electronic device from damage and any influence from electromagnetic interference.
The SVAN 979 has a very large dynamic range of measurement - over 110dB. It’s high-quality GRAS 40AE microphone allows measurement in the frequency range starting as low as 3 Hz. The measurement path has been designed to allow the use of other microphones should you want to measure very low frequencies or very high levels of noise. The microphone preamplifier has also been reinforced with a collar to protect against mechanical damage. One amazing feature of the SVAN 979 is that if you disconnect the microphone preamplifier then you can use the instrument for vibration measurements - simply connect up a cable and a vibration sensor . The SVAN 979 has an extensive range of hardware and firmware add-ons that includes built-in Bluetooth, windscreen infrared detector, direct connections to GPS module, GPRS or WiFi modem or the totally unique built-in vibration shock sensor that warns the user whenever the instrument itself is exposed to vibrations that may influence the noise measurements. Two USB connectors allow for the simultaneous operation of USB pen-drives and communication with the computer. Usage of this number of advanced features at the same time is possible as the instrument has two high-speed digital signal processors. For example, the SVAN 979 is capable of measuring 2 ms steps of time history, logged simultaneously to audio recording (with 48kHz sampling) and real-time frequency analysis. Only the SVAN 979 can meet such a challenge. All data is stored on a microSD card of any capacity (default is 8GB) . It is also important to note that unlike other brands which recalculate FFT spectrum to octave bands, the SVAN 979 performs frequency analysis in real-time, whether in octaves, third octaves all the way up to 1/12 octaves. Setting up such advanced measurements can be very complicated but not in the SVAN 979. The intuitive menu structure of this instrument has been designed to make the measurement experience a pleasure. |

Main Applications
Related ProductsSupervisorSupervisor is the PC software package dedicated for health and safety specialists. Software supports the whole family of Svantek instruments dedicated to health and safety market including the BIG TRIO: SVAN 971, SV 104 and SV 106.
Each instrument connected to the Supervisor is remembered enabling automatic creation of instruments' database containing important information such as uploaded settings and firmware version, calibration validity date or instrument clock time. Intuitive tools for data organization upon downloading provide folder-structured database as well as files tagging by locations, users or tasks capabilities. Downloaded data files are automatically categorized by measurement time and assigned to the instrument's serial number enabling fast & easy data browsing. In practice this means no more time-consuming data search through PC storage. Supervisor software adjusts itself to the user’s requirements. In case of simple applications that require analysis of only main results such as LAeq, LAFmax or LCpeak, Supervisor offers quick previews and reporting without necessity of data files opening. More advanced applications are handled within sessions where user decides on the type of analysis to be performed. Those who create noise or vibration reports on a daily basis will appreciate possibility of creating report templates, which once created can be applied to series of measurement files. Whenever necessary user can select data files and create personalized reports with couple of clicks. FEATURES

SvanNET
SvanNET is a relay server supporting connection between PC and Svantek instruments in case of 3G communication. The SvanNET allows usage of all type of SIM cards with a 3G modem regardless if they have public or private IP. The connection over the SvanNET allows users to:
use a mobile phone or tablet to watch real time measurement results, manually download files and reconfigure the station, manually download files and reconfigure the station using SvanPC++_RC module, use the SvanPC++_RC application based on MS Windows® for automatic control of the noise monitoring stations, data archiving, automatic web publication, etc. |
SvanMOBILE
SvanMOBILE is an Android application for devices running on Android platform extending functionalities of SVAN 977 / 979. SvanMOBILE allows to link measurement files from sound level meter to media files from smartphones such as photos, video or audio recordings. Anyone who makes measurements in the environment will appreciate the fact that SvanMobile can be used to automatically add weather data and GPS position to report on the measurement. To communicate with SVAN 977 / 979 the Bluetooth interface is used.

SA 279
The SA 279 outdoor kit protects the SVAN 979 preamplifier and microphone from the weather conditions. The use of the outdoor kit requires the extension cable between the instrument and its preamplifier. The SA 279 is made of lightweight materials and is easy to install on a tripod. The solution is recommended for short term and semi-pernanent noise measurements in the environment.
