SV 103 Vibration Dosimeter
SV 103 Personal Human Vibration Exposure meter is dedicated to hand-arm vibration measurements. The instrument meets ISO 8041:2005 and is the ideal choice for making measurements according to ISO 5349 and European Directive 2002/44/EC.
Hand-arm vibration is when mechanical vibrations are transmitted to the human hand when in contact with the surface of a vibrating machine such as an electric drill. This type of vibration is particularly harmful as it can cause pathological changes in the nervous system of the hands and fingers; commonly called white finger disease. As there is no cure for damage caused by vibration, the only effective regime is to take regular vibration measurements in the hazardous workplace environment and therefore ensure that damage is not caused in the first place. However, many currently used assessment methods for hand-arm vibration are subject to a very high level of uncertainty and typically vibration measurement accuracy can vary in the range of ±20% to 40% which makes a big difference in terms of white finger disease. The SV 103 from Svantek significantly decreases the measurement uncertainty as the instrument is attached to the user’s arm and is small enough to take daily vibration exposure measurements without interfering with normal working activities. The SV 103 uses our latest accelerometer, the SV 107, that has a contact force sensor in addition to the standard accelerometer. Contact force is the sum of grip force and push force and is therefore a measurement of how firmly a user is holding the tool being measured. This is a recommendation of the new standards and the reading from the contact force sensor is also displayed on the screen. The SV 107 accelerometer is based on MEMS, the very latest in transducer technology. MEMS gives many advantages including shock resistance, very low power and frequency response down to DC. The usage of MEMS breaks the technological barrier of a weight and dimensions additionally reducing the cost of the complete system. The SV 103 is powered using rechargeable batteries charged through the USB interface which also enables easy interconnection between the instrument and a PC. The measurement data is safely stored in the large 8 GB memory. The instrument works with our powerful “Supervisor” software which allows instrument configuration as well as the viewing and exporting of measurement data and daily vibration exposure recalculations. The colour OLED screen that offers excellent visibility even in full daylight completes the exceptional features of this instrument. |

Supervisor Software
Supervisor is the PC software package dedicated for health and safety specialists. Software supports the whole family of Svantek instruments dedicated to health and safety market including the BIG TRIO: SVAN 971, SV 104 and SV 106.
Each instrument connected to the Supervisor is remembered enabling automatic creation of instruments' database containing important information such as uploaded settings and firmware version, calibration validity date or instrument clock time. Intuitive tools for data organization upon downloading provide folder-structured database as well as files tagging by locations, users or tasks capabilities. Downloaded data files are automatically categorized by measurement time and assigned to the instrument's serial number enabling fast & easy data browsing. In practice this means no more time-consuming data search through PC storage. Supervisor software adjusts itself to the user’s requirements. In case of simple applications that require analysis of only main results such as LAeq, LAFmax or LCpeak, Supervisor offers quick previews and reporting without necessity of data files opening. More advanced applications are handled within sessions where user decides on the type of analysis to be performed. Those who create noise or vibration reports on a daily basis will appreciate possibility of creating report templates, which once created can be applied to series of measurement files. Whenever necessary user can select data files and create personalized reports with couple of clicks. |

SV 110 Vibration CalibratorThe SV 110 is a hand-held vibration calibrator designed for verification of machine sensors as well as on-site checks of human vibration accelerometers in accordance to ISO 8041. The small size of SV 110 enables easy checks of sensors at the machines. Depending on the selected frequency user may select level of calibration from1 m/s2 to 10 m/s2. Accelerometers are conveniently attached using mounting stud, mounting disc or dedicated adapter. The calibrator menu provides selection between both metric systems 'g' and 'm/s2'. The menu is simply operated by three push-buttons and small OLED display. |
SV 107 Triaxial Hand-Arm AccelerometerSV107 is a triaxial hand-arm vibration accelerometer dedicated to measurements according to ISO 5349-2 with SV103 hand-arm vibration dosimeter. The SV 107 has in-built force sensors to detect the contact and to exclude periods of time when the tool is not in use.
For in-situ checks and periodic verification of the SV107 the SA 105A adapter (option) is necessary. The accelerometer has TEDS memory that remembers the calibration factor transferred to SV103 instrument. Accelerometer is supplied with three adapters to perfectly match the grip of different vibrating tools. Each adapter includes an adjustable rubber strap for firm and comfortable attaching the accelerometer to the human’s hand. This solution significantly limits disturbances to the operator who doesn’t have to worry about holding the accelerometer. |
