The Pattichion Theatre is currently closed for renovations. It is estimated to reopen sometime in 2012.
The acoustic design of the theatre has been done in a way where both theatre and music performances can be performed. Panacoustics has designed acoustic louvres to be placed on the ceiling that will be operated mechanically. During theatre performances, the louvres will be closed, whilst during music performances the louvres will be open thus allowing longer reverberation time.
